Write check mark symbol with keyboard - Here's how
You can't type a tick symbol directly on the keyboard, but you can still quickly create your symbol with a few clicks of the mouse.
Write check mark symbol in word
- Type "P" where you want it in Word and highlight the letter.
- Then change the font to "Windings 2".
- Now you can remove the selection with one click and set the usual font again.
Create keyboard shortcut in Word
You can also set up a keyboard shortcut that allows you to insert the checkmark more quickly in the future.
- Click on "Symbols" in the "Insert" menu, then on "More symbols" and select the check mark from the list.
- Click "Keyboard Shortcut" and type your desired combination into the "New Keyboard Shortcut" field by executing it.
- Make sure that the combination is not already taken. You can recognize this from the text that appears: "Currently assigned to: [not assigned]".
- Confirm with "Assign" and close both windows.
