Hamachi: How to fix the relay tunnel problem
If a connection under Hamachi is blocked, the tool redirects you to the relay tunnel. We'll show you how to fix this.
LogMeIn Hamachi: Solve relay tunnel problem
Any of the following approaches can fix your problem. To avoid unnecessary effort, you should carry out the steps in the order given:
- Restart: The first thing you should do is restart your computer. In some cases this can solve the problem.
- Network adapter: Simultaneously press the [Windows] + [R] keys so that the "Execute" command opens. Enter the command "ncpa.cpl" and confirm with "OK". Deactivate the Hamachi adapter by right-clicking and reactivate it immediately (see picture).
- Firewall: Also activate TCP ports 12975 and 32976 in your firewall. You can find instructions in this practical tip.
- Configuration: Assign a static port number to Hamachi that guarantees its use. To do this, click on "System" in Hamachi and select "Settings". Switch to the "Settings" tab and click on "Advanced Settings". Enter the desired port for the "Local UDP address" and "Local TCP address" entries. You must also set this in the router settings. You can find out how this works for your router on this website.
- Driver: If the problem is deeper in the system, you should deactivate the Hamachi driver in Device Manager. You can switch it on again after a restart. You can find instructions on how to do this in this practical tip.
- Reinstallation: If all of this does not help, you only have to reinstall it. You can download Hamachi from our CHIP download area.
We will show you how to configure Hamachi correctly in the next practical tip.
