Cell phone delivered defective - you have to do that now
We will explain how to proceed if a defective cell phone has been delivered to you.
How to deal with a defective mobile phone
If the cell phone was delivered defective, you should first contact the dealer.
- Describe the facts and ask for a solution. As a rule, the dealer will replace the defective cell phone with a new device. It is therefore essential to keep the packaging and all accessories including the invoice.
- It is also possible for the dealer to repair the defective device. However, you should only allow this rework a maximum of two to three times. Do not give the dealer more than two to three weeks to do this.
- If the time has been exceeded or there is no appropriate improvement, you should reclaim your money or at least request a price reduction. Alternatively, you can also insist on a defect-free device.
- Due to the verifiability, you should communicate everything in writing. At best by registered mail. However, the first contact by phone or email can also be helpful, since many dealers are accommodating and reliably replace the device.
