Mobile phone no longer charges - it may be because of it
If your cell phone stops charging, there can be different reasons. Here we show you some solutions how you can get your cell phone up and running again.
Mobile phone no longer charges: carry out tests at home
If your cell phone or smartphone can no longer be charged, there are usually two reasons:
- Your battery could be defective.
- Or your charging cable is no longer working.
- You can check this if, for example, you have an old cell phone with the same connection. If you connect the old cell phone to the charging cable and charge it, the charger is not defective. Then the battery of your cell phone could be dead.
- But it could also be that your battery has been deeply discharged. Then the smartphone does not respond directly when you connect it to the charger. It may take a few minutes for your smartphone to display something.
- If you still cannot get your smartphone up and running, you should go to the nearest repair shop. For example, you can use your iPhone to go to an Apple Retail Shop, Gravis or Mobilcom-Debitel Shop. The latter accepts devices from any manufacturer, such as Samsung, Nokia, HTC or Motorola.
