Set up "Handy Finder" for Alexa
Amazon Alexa is not able to find your phone by default, but this function can be easily retrofitted. The prerequisite is that you have already set up Alexa:
- Open the installation page of the Handy Finder in your web browser on the PC. If you haven't already done so, sign in with your Amazon customer information.
- Click the large button "Activate" to make the skill usable on all available Alexa devices.
- Alternatively, activate the skill with the voice command "Alexa, start Handy Finder" or via the Alexa app.
- Call the correct number for your country using your mobile phone. Germany: 0211 3687 4277 or Austria: 0720 231 547. This incurs one-time costs for a landline call.
- Ask Alexa for your individual PIN by saying to Alexa: "Alexa, ask Handy Finder what my PIN is".
- Enter the specified PIN using the telephone keypad to complete the registration.
This is how Alexa finds your cell phone
