Mobile phone shows wrong location - it can be because of it
- Your smartphone's GPS signal may be disrupted. This can be due to protective covers that you have attached to your smartphone, for example.
- However, electromagnetic devices that are close to your smartphone can also be responsible for the interference.
- Make sure you have GPS enabled too. To do this, go to "Settings"> "Privacy"> "Location Services" (iOS) or "Settings"> "Location Access" (Android).
- On Android, you can also specify which mode you want to use for location determination. Select "high precision" here.
- It can also be helpful if you also switch on the WLAN in addition to GPS. This supports the location determination.
- Note that additional settings may be available for rooted devices.
- If these tips do not help, you can try to reset the phone to factory settings (Android / iOS).
