Hard reset vs. Soft reset - what's the difference?
- Soft reset: Switch your smartphone off and on again, carry out a soft reset. The operating system is restarted. Any small errors in the buffer can thus be removed. If your cell phone hangs, you can often perform a soft reset by pressing certain buttons.
- Hard reset: If you reset your smartphone to the factory settings, a hard reset is carried out. All settings and files are deleted, the mobile phone must be set up again. When computers or smartphones are no longer working properly, this is often the only solution.
