Does the Macbook have a right mouse button?
At first glance, the MacBook's touchpad looks like a single button surface, a left or right mouse button is not recognizable. In the standard configuration there is also no classic right click. With a small change in the system settings, you quickly activate a right mouse button.
Activate the right mouse button on the Macbook
Without changing anything in the system settings, the right-click does not work. In the standard version, you have to tap the trackpad with two fingers to right-click. We show you how to activate the right mouse button.
- Select the system settings in your dock.
- Under the heading "Hardware" select the item "Trackpad".
- Now you see four different menu items on the left, each with a tick option. Check whether there is a check mark under "Secondary click".
- Then click on the small arrow under "Secondary click" and select the item "Right click below".
- Now you can close the system settings and right-click with your Macbook.
- Alternatively, you can right-click by tapping on your touchpad with one finger and simultaneously holding down the "Control" key.
