HBO received in Germany - is that possible?

Game of Thrones fans in particular are faced with the question of whether the HBO television station can be received in Germany. You will find the answer in this practical tip.

Can you receive HBO in Germany?

• Since HBO is from the United States, you cannot easily receive it in Germany.
• Unfortunately, there is no use in using an American IP address as the service detects and blocks this.
• The popular service Unblock.us does not help in this case either.
• The only alternative: You can view the media library of HBO Nordic, which is available in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, with a little trick online.
• The country lock can be avoided with F-Secure Freedome, for example. You can then change the language to German below under "Språk". You need a credit card to register.
• "HBO Nordic" is free for 30 days. After that there is a fee of around ten euros per month.
