Hearthstone: The legendary dragon cards
In the blizzard game "Hearthstone" there are not only class-related cards, but also legendary dragon cards. In this practical tip, we introduce you to the six legendary servants and give you tips for their use.
Legendary dragons Alexstrasza, Malygos and Nozdormu
The dragons "Alexstrasza", "Malygos" and "Nozdormu" are well-known dragons from the Warcraft universe. You can even fight them in World of Warcraft. In Hearthstone, you instantly set a hero's life to 15 life with the battle cry of the "Alexstrasza" card. You can use it to attract very defensive opponents from the reserve.
With "Malygos" you increase the magic damage by 5 points. This effect complements other magic cards, which then deal increased damage.
You put the opponent under time pressure with the effect of the dragon "Nozdormu". He only gives the opponent 15 seconds for each move.
- "Alexstrasza" (8/8): "Battle Cry: Set a hero's remaining life to 15." This card is worth it if you have a deck that always tries to attack the enemy hero directly.
- "Malygos" (4/12): "Spell Damage +5". This dragon is particularly suitable for magician decks, for example of magicians or the priest. "Malygos" also offers good defense with 12 life points.
- "Nozdormu" (8/8): "Players only have 15 seconds each to make their move." With "Nozdormu" you put pressure on your opponent. But be careful: Your train also only takes 15 seconds. So think of a strategy before you play this kite.
Legendary dragons onyxia, deathwing and ysera
The remaining dragons "Onyxia", "Deathwing" and "Ysera" also come from the Warcraft universe.
With the battle cry of "Onyxia" the dragon lady lets puppies appear until your side of the field is full. Especially useful if you have few defense cards.
The battle cry of "Deathwing", on the other hand, annihilates all servants on the battlefield and lets your hand be thrown off. "Deathwing" is thus a last attempt in a match that was believed to be lost.
As long as "Ysera" is in play, you can draw a dream card at the end of your turn. Dream cards are for example "dream", "emerald dragon" or "laughing sister". Dream cards often have strong effects and cost little mana. Here is an overview of the 3 kite cards:
- "Onyxia" (8/8): "Battle cry: summon puppies (1/1) until your side of the battlefield is full." "Onyxia" is worth it if you have a deck with weak defenders. But the little helpers can also serve as attackers.
- "Deathwing" (12/12): "Battle Cry: Destroy all other servants and throw off your hand." This legendary dragon card is the last resort. If you have already lost a game, "Deathwing" can turn the tide. However, the dragon costs 10 mana points, which is why it can only be used very late in the game.
- "Ysera" (4/12): "Draw a dream card at the end of your turn." Dream cards are cards such as "Nightmare", which destroys a servant in the next turn, but grants + 5 / + 5 beforehand. Dream cards cost little or no mana.
Keep in mind that the legendary dragon cards cost at least 9 mana points. So you can only use them very late in the game. However, the effects are very good and especially "Onyxia" and "Deathwing" can turn a game with your skills. Try to get the cards in a warrior deck or shaman deck.
