Hearthstone: make and disenchant cards
In Blizzard's Hearthstone card game, you can make or disarm cards for your decks to get the resources you need. We explain what you have to pay attention to when crafting.
Hearthstone: This is what you should pay attention to when disenchanting cards
You can enter crafting mode from your card collection. Before you can make new cards, you need to get enough dust. You can get this by disenchanting other cards.
- In general, you should not disenchant cards without thinking, because crafting a card, depending on the rarity, costs between 40 and 3200 dust, but disenchanting only brings between 5 and 1600.
- Gold cards of a rarity level bring as much dust when disenchanted as you need to make a regular card. Since the golden bonus has no beneficial effects, it is often worthwhile to disenchant golden cards in particular.
- In general, you should only disenchant cards if you want to create a card: Sometimes you get very big dust bonuses in the game that are worth waiting for if you don't want to make a card right now.
- If the strength of a card is reduced (a so-called nerf), it receives, for example, a dust bonus. Especially if you are dealing with cards that you do not play or that are not particularly rare, you should use every bonus you get. This also applies if you don't want to make a card at all.
- The Dust Bonus usually gives you exactly the amount of dust it would take to make this card. If you still want to play the card later, you can restore it for free. So you can only win with bonus dust. However, these bonuses are very rare and unpredictable. So if you just want to craft and need dust, don't wait any longer.
- You can only play a small number of each card in an active deck. If you have more of it, you should disenchant it first. The mass disenchantment finds all the excess cards and shows you how rare they are and how much you would earn with them.
- Golden and regular cards are listed separately, although they are added together when the deck is created. For example, if you can only have one card in your deck twice, you will be left with two gold and two regular cards of this type after the mass disenchantment. So if you don't want to pick up golden cards, you can further disenchant here and earn more dust.
- Finally, if there are no more dust bonuses and you can no longer disenchant any excess cards, you should pounce on cards that you will definitely never play.
- There are also cards that you may use but will not have in your deck more than once. These are usually very expensive cards that often only take up unnecessary space. Here you can disenchant all but one of them.
- Be very careful when disenchanting legendary cards: they bring a lot of dust, but when crafting, your goal will also be a legendary card in most cases, so the exchange is rarely worthwhile. Exceptions are gold versions of legendary cards that you have double - especially if they are bad or rarely played. With the dust of the golden, you can instantly create a new legendary map.
Make cards in Hearthstone
So now you have the dust for new cards. But when crafting, you should also pay attention to a few essential points:
- In general, you should always save on legendary cards. Although they are the most expensive, they are also the strongest and therefore very rare. No matter what deck you want to play, it will most likely be legendary cards that will have to wait the longest.
- While you save on these cards, draw new boosters and, with a bit of luck, you can use them to find the legendaries you are looking for, or even more likely other cards that you also need for the deck - and might have been crafted beforehand without this rule.
- Above all, you avoid a typical mistake: do not craft ordinary cards. The name says it all and you will usually find these cards so often that every bit of dust is too much.
- If you are aiming for a specific set composition, the following also applies: Do not make the missing cards individually, but wait until you have enough dust for everyone. This also has the effect that you don't waste dust on a card, which you suddenly pull while waiting for the others.
- This rule is of course less important if you play other decks in which you can also use only part of the cards you are looking for.
- So concentrate on very rare cards that you really need for your decks and that at best complement those decks.
- Since you can only craft legendary cards very rarely, you should get everything out of you. Therefore, if possible, do not bet on cards that can only be played by one class. Attorney Treuherz and Dr. Boom, for example, is often a good decision.
