Hearthstone: which packs to buy? There are these variants
Your Hearthstone gold wants to be invested wisely. We therefore give you tips on which packs to buy and which ones you should rather stay away from.
Hearthstone Packs at a Glance: Which Packs to Buy?
- Since the expansion "The Whisper of the Old Gods" you can buy three different packs in Hearthstone: the Standard Packs, the "Grand Tournament" packs and the "The Whisper of the Old Gods" packs.
- With a total of 303 cards, the standard pack contains the most copies. The "Grand Tournament" expands the spectrum of Hearthstone by 149 additional cards and with the "The Whisper of the Old Gods" packs you can get 134 additional cards.
- The easiest way to check which cards are included in which packs is to visit Heathstone databases. On the HearthStone Heroes website you will find the German maps and on HearthPwn you will find the English equivalents.
- Note: The "Goblins vs. Gnomes" packs are no longer available. Since the new expansion, these cards can be crafted in the deck menu.
Hearthstone: which packs to buy?
- The standard packs contain most of the basic cards that are most commonly used for all different types of decks. If you are new to the game and have few cards left, this pack is the best option.
- The expansion packs, however, are very special. They allude to targeted game mechanics, such as jousing the "Grand Tounament". In addition, these extensions contain fewer cards, which increases the likelihood of receiving cards twice.
- Basically, however, you should orientate yourself to the deck variants you prefer. Certain cards that you need for special decks can only be found in the respective packs.
- Conclusion: No pack type is in principle better or worse than another type. It always depends on which cards you need and want to play. The standard packs are recommended, since the cards they contain fit every deck variant.
