When you join a home network group in Windows 7, 8, and 10, you can share libraries and printers with other people. We show you how this works in this article.
Join an existing home network in Windows 7, 8 and 10
To join an existing home network, do the same under Windows 7, 8 and 10.
- Click on "Start" or in Windows 8 in the Charm Bar on "Settings".
- Now select the "Control Panel".
- Enter the search term "homegroup" in the top right of "Search Control Panel".
- Then click on the "Home Network Group" entry.
- Now select the libraries you want to share. Click on Continue".
- Enter the password you received from the person who created the homegroup. Then click Next".
- Your computer should then have found the home network group and confirm this. Now click on "Finish".
