How to properly vent your heating
To be able to vent your heating properly, you first need a bowl, a towel and a square wrench or a pipe pump wrench - depending on the type of heating you have. Before you start venting, you should switch off the heating system. Then follow the steps below.
- Place a towel underneath the valve to catch any water that flows out.
- Turn the heating to the highest level 5 and hold a bowl under the valve at the same time. Take the square wrench or pliers and carefully loosen the valve. Let us help you if necessary.
- If you wait a moment, you will hear a hiss. If this is the case, the air flows out of your heater and you vent it.
- It is normal for a little water to come out of the valve during this process. For this reason, you should have the bowl ready.
- At some point the air has escaped from the heater and you can no longer hear a hiss. Now only water runs out of the heating.
- Once this condition has been reached, take the square key or pliers and turn the valve back hand-tight.
- You can then use your heating again as usual.
