Hidden features in iOS 7
Do you think you know iOS 7? There are still numerous hidden functions to discover, so-called "hidden features".
Adjust font in iOS 7
- In the "Settings" you can adjust the text size in the "General" tab.
- You can use a slider to reduce or enlarge the previous standard size.
iOS 7: Private surfing made easy
- If you open a new tab in Safari, you can immediately switch to private mode using the "Private" button at the bottom of the screen.
- You can also deactivate the collection of personal data in iOS 7: In the settings, you have to call up the "Safari" menu and activate "No tracking" (see image).
Check the data volume under iOS 7
- iOS 7 counts for you how much data each individual app uses.
- You can put a stop to the biggest data snoops and thus avoid unnecessary data loss.
- You can find the setting under "Mobile network" (iPhone) and "Mobile data" (iPad).
iOS 7 saves your locations
- In the "Settings" you can select the option "Frequent Places" in the menu "Location Services"> "System Services".
- Here iOS 7 automatically remembers all important places that you can display on the map.
Safari with Twitter feed
- You can view the latest tweets from your subscribed Twitter accounts directly in Safari:
- To do this, open the "Bookmarks" in Safari and select the @ symbol.
Siri with additional functions
- While the web search was already possible with previous iOS versions, you can now also search for pictures. Here Siri uses the search engine "Bing".
- You can also search for tweets, provided you have the Twitter app installed.
