Hkcmd.exe - what is it?

On many computers you can find the "hkcmd.exe" process in the Task Manager. We'll tell you what it is.

hkcmd.exe - good or bad?

• The process comes from Intel and communicates with your graphics card. This allows you to change settings such as the brightness of the screen using the keyboard, for example. This is especially useful for laptops.
• By default, the file is in the path "C: \ Windows \ System32". If it is found elsewhere, it may be a virus.
• In this case we recommend a scan using the VirusTotal web app and the free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware virus scanner.
