If you have a high data consumption on the iPhone, various reasons can be responsible. In this practical tip we will tell you what you can do about it.
iPhone: High data consumption - what to do?
- Apps: Many apps consume a lot of data, especially if they are streaming services like YouTube or Netflix. Therefore, only use these apps with a WiFi connection.
- Alternatively, you can also set the playback quality in most streaming apps. Set a low quality here.
- Update: All app updates should also only be carried out via a WiFi connection.
- You can deactivate this restriction in iTunes in the "Settings" by switching off "Use mobile data".
- Mobile data: We also recommend that you switch off the mobile data when you are in the WLAN.
- You can deactivate the mobile data for the apps in "Settings"> "Mobile network". To do this, simply slide the slider to the left.
- Browser: The Google Chrome browser offers a data saving function. You can activate this function in "Settings"> "Data saving mode".
