Honor 5x: update to Android 6 - how it works

If you have an Honor 5x from Huawei, you can update to Android 6 in just a few days. We'll show you how to install the new version.

Install Android 6 on the Honor 5x

• In Asia, the update to Android 6 has already been made available to all users. The download should arrive in Germany by the beginning of July at the latest.
• Download the free Huawei HiCare app for installation and select the "ROM update app" category. You can then download and start the update.
• The firmware update keeps your personal settings, apps and data. Nevertheless, problems can arise with such large processes. If you perform an Android backup before the update, you are on the safe side.
