How to remove the hotspot shield
- Open the "Control Panel" with the Windows key (formerly "Start").
- Select "Programs".
- Now you get a list of all installed programs, from which you can look for "Hotspot Shield" and remove it with the "Uninstall" button.
- The deinstallation then starts automatically and is confirmed again at the end.
Troubleshoot Hotspot Shield uninstallation
Especially users of older Hotspot-Shield versions often get error messages when uninstalling. Either the uninstallation fails or the antivirus program raises the alarm. You can delete the program with the "Revo Uninstaller".
- When Hotspot Shield is removed, unwanted files are often left behind. The free "CCleaner" helps:
- Download the "CCleander" and install the program.
- The cleaning tool searches your computer for surviving files and removes them reliably.
