HTC 10: Extend battery life - the best tips
Even with the new HTC 10, the battery often doesn't last more than a day or two. With our tips you can extend the battery life and get more out of your smartphone.
HTC 10: Set up your smartphone to save battery power
There are a few things you can do to save your battery when you set up your HTC 10:
- Charge your cell phone in full charging cycles if possible: If you only charge the battery when the battery level drops below 10 percent and then fully charge it, the battery will stay fit longer.
- As soon as the charge level reaches 100 percent, leave the device on the power for a while. This is how the battery is charged to the maximum.
- Many standard apps on HTC 10 are power guzzlers. Deactivate apps that you do not need in the settings under "Apps".
- Widgets that appear on the home screen, such as HTC's "Blikfeed", consume a lot of power. Read with us how to disable the widgets that you don't need.
- Many apps update themselves in the background using mobile data and eat electricity. Turn off automatic syncing for apps you don't use.
- Software errors can lead to higher battery consumption. Always install the latest updates.
HTC 10: spare battery when in use
- The screen is the biggest power guzzler during operation. Manually dim the screen to save battery. Especially in a dark environment, a low brightness level is often sufficient.
- If you do not need connections such as WLAN, GPS or Bluetooth at the moment, switch them off. If a WLAN network is available, you should surf via WLAN. This is more energy efficient than using mobile data.
- HTC 10 has a power saver mode that you can personalize to your liking. So you can win up to 90 minutes of battery life.
- In addition to the energy-saving mode, you can also use additional apps such as Greenify, which you can use to make extensive settings for battery saving.
