The new HTC 10 is on the market. The first steps are now to set up the smartphone. We give tips on how to do this.

Just follow the steps below to set up your new smartphone:
- Before you start the setup, insert your SIM card into the device and connect it to the power supply using a charging cable.
- Then switch on the smartphone by pressing and holding the on / off switch.
- The first thing you need to do is set the language to be set for the phone.
- If you are in the WLAN, you can connect to a network in the second step. You can also skip this step.
- Then it's time to set up a Google account. If you already have one, you can log in with the data.
- You can also set up device protection for your HTC smartphone. Among other things, this protects you from theft or unwanted software.
- If you have set up a backup on your old HTC smartphone, you can now restore it. Otherwise, select "Set up as new device".
Set up HTC 10 - make important settings
- After successfully setting up the device, you should check to see if software updates are available.
- It also makes sense that you delete apps you don't need to free up memory.
- If you do not need location services such as GPS, you should switch them off in the settings for security reasons.
- Under "Security" you will also find important settings for your HTC in the settings. You can set an unlock pattern or unlock PIN here to protect your HTC from unauthorized access.
Set up HTC 10 - install apps
- If you have successfully set up your device, you can now install apps via Google PlayStore.
