If your HTC 10 comes on but hangs at startup, skip to the next paragraph. If your smartphone cannot be switched on, you can try the following approaches:
- Charge your HTC 10 for at least 30 minutes to make sure the battery isn't over-discharged. Then try again to start it.
- Also try another charging cable to rule out a defect.
- When you turn on the power, hold down the power button for a few seconds until the HTC logo appears.
- If the cell phone cannot be switched on, press the power button for 20 seconds. This will trigger a soft reset and restart the phone. Your data will not be deleted.
HTC 10 does not start: Wipe cache partition
The "Wipe Cache Partition" function clears the cache and removes system files that are no longer required. This eliminates software errors. Important data will not be deleted.
- Press and hold the power and volume down buttons for a few seconds until the HTC logo appears on the screen.
- In the following "download mode" menu, use the volume buttons to select the "Reboot to recovery mode" item and confirm with the power button.
