HTC: "No device connected" message when syncing - what to do?
You have connected your phone to your PC, but HTC Sync shows "No device connected". There are several ways to fix this problem.
Connect to HTC Sync after the error message
There are 4 ways to fix this. Try it out.
- Disconnect the existing connection and restart the cell phone and PC. Connect again.
- Use the cable to change the USB interface on your PC.
- Disconnect the cell phone and PC. Delete all HTC drivers on your computer. Reconnect and reinstall HTC Sync.
- If the problem persists, go to HTC’s help center or your mobile phone store. The cell phone may be defective and must be repaired.
