HTC BlinkFeed: Subscribe to RSS feeds
With the BlinkFeed you can subscribe to your own RSS feeds in addition to the preset news services. We'll show you how.
HTC BlinkFeed: Search RSS feed
First you have to search for the RSS feed on the Internet that you want to display in the BlinkFeed.
- Use the standard browser (not one from the Play Store such as "Google Chrome") to go to the website you want to subscribe to. Look for the RSS icon here and tap on it.
- In the "Take Action With" window, select "BlinkFeed RSS".
- Now tap on the newspaper symbol with the plus in the top right to subscribe to the feed. Then choose a name for the feed.
Call up RSS feeds in BlinkFeed
Unfortunately, you cannot find the RSS feeds you have subscribed to in the BlinkFeed under the highlights. You have to select the subscribed feeds individually:
- If you swipe to the right in Blinkfeed, you can select the relevant feed under "User-defined topics".
- Tip: With services like "FeedStitch" you can merge several RSS feeds into one.
If you want to extend the battery life of your HTC One, you may even want to disable BlinkFeed.
