HTC phone stops charging - you can do that
- A common cause of charging problems is the power supply. Check with another smartphone, for example, whether the charger is still working. Alternatively, you can check whether your smartphone can be charged with a different power supply.
- Connect the smartphone to your computer with the USB cable and check whether the device is now charging and whether you can transfer data. This way you can rule out that the problem lies with your charging cable.
- Have you installed new apps lately? Some applications can interfere with the charging process of your smartphone. Uninstall any apps you have installed since the last successful download.
- If there is dirt in your charging socket, you should try to remove it with tweezers. Be careful, however, and be careful not to destroy anything.
- If your device is switched off and can no longer be switched on, leave your smartphone at the socket for a few minutes before trying again. It may be that your battery is deeply discharged, so discharged to such an extent that it can no longer muster the energy to start the smartphone.
- If the tips above did not help, you still have the option of completely resetting your smartphone. You can read how to do this in this practical tip.
- If all of this didn't work, the problem is probably with the battery or other components in your smartphone. In this case it is advisable to send in the device and have it repaired.
