HTC M8: You need this SIM card
If you want to surf and make calls with the HTC M8, you must first insert the correct SIM card. In this article, we reveal what size the SIM on the HTC M8 can have and how you insert the card.
SIM card for HTC M8: which is the right one?
Like many other manufacturers, HTC is increasingly using the smallest SIM card format, the Nano SIM. If you still have a larger SIM card, you can get the right Nano SIM in different ways:
- You can order the Nano SIM from your mobile service provider, for example. We will explain how it works with Congstar, O2 and ALDI Talk, among others. This is free of charge for most providers, but some also charge a fee of up to 10 euros.
- With some larger SIM cards, however, you will already find a suitable perforation on which you can push out the inside of the SIM card. So you can shrink your normal SIM to nano format with a bit of tact.
- Alternatively, you can cut your SIM card yourself without perforation. It is best to use our free Nano SIM template.
Insert the SIM card in the cell phone
- First, turn off your HTC M8 completely.
- Then carefully insert the supplied pointed tool into the small hole next to the SIM card slot on the side of the cell phone. Alternatively, you can use a curved paper clip.
- Insert the Nano SIM into the card holder that pops out and push it back into the cell phone.
The HTC M8 comes with its own user interface. If you don't like the design, you can deactivate and remove the HTC Sense interface.
