It is very easy to export notes from iBooks so that they are then available as a plain text file. In this practical tip, we will show you how to do it.
How to export notes from iBooks as plain text
If you want to export notes from iBooks for Mac or iBooks for iOS, you can follow the instructions below.
- Click on "View" at the top and then on "Show Notes". This way you can see all the notes you have added to iBooks.
- Then copy one (click), selected (click + hold "CMD" and add more notes by clicking) or all notes ("CMD" + "A") by clicking on them and pressing "CMD" and put "C" on the clipboard.
- Then open a new text document and paste the copied notes from iBooks into the text program using the "CMD" and "V" commands.
- Your iBooks notes are copied as plain text so that you now have them as a text file.
