Sync iCal on iPhone with Mac: Here's how
To sync iCal on your Mac with your iPhone, you need to enable the corresponding setting in iTunes. This is done in a few steps.
Sync iCal on Mac with iPhone
Once you've set up syncing in iTunes, iCal will sync with your iPhone every time you connect it to your Mac or connect using iTunes WiFi sync.
- Connect your iPhone to your Mac and wait for iTunes to open. If you have activated iTunes WiFi sync, just open iTunes.
- Select your iPhone in the column on the left under "Devices".
- Click on the »Info« tab in the field on the right.
- If necessary, scroll down until you have reached the point "Synchronize iCal calendar" and tick the corresponding check box.
- Now decide whether you want to synchronize "All calendars" or - if you maintain several calendars in iCal - only "Selected calendars". In this case, select the desired calendar from the list displayed.
- With the checkbox »Do not synchronize events that are older than 30 days«, you determine to what extent you want to synchronize events that are in the past. The number of days is freely adjustable.
- Click Apply and wait for iTunes to finish the process.
If you have set up iCal synchronization in your iCloud, your calendars will be synchronized automatically. The corresponding option is then deactivated in iTunes. This practical tip shows you how to synchronize iCal with your Google Calendar.
