Sync iCloud Calendar with Android
iCloud usually doesn't work well with Android. How to synchronize your iCloud calendar with Android is shown step by step in our instructions.
Automatic calendar synchronization from iCloud to Android
With the Android app SmoothSync for Cloud Calendar for currently around 2.50 euros, you get a good app that takes over the synchronization of all the iCloud calendars you want. The app runs completely in the background, so you will never notice it.
Set up iCloud calendar synchronization
After you have downloaded the additional app, we will show you how to set up the synchronization:
- Open SmoothSync for Cloud Calendar.
- Select the "Add New Account" option.
- Enter your iCloud account data there.
- Then you can select the calendars you want to synchronize. Confirm with "Finish".
SmoothSync for Cloud Calendar: Adjust sync settings
In the settings of the app you can also adjust the synchronization settings, for example how often the calendar should be updated:
- Select "Edit account settings" in the app.
- You will then receive the settings for your linked iCloud account. You can also change the synchronized calendars there.
- For automatic synchronization, make sure that the check mark is set. Under Interval you can set how often the iCloud calendars should be checked and updated.
By the way: You can also set up your iCloud mail on the Android smartphone, as we explain in the next article.
