If the iCloud calendar no longer synchronizes with your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, this can have various causes. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
iCloud Calendar: Sync doesn't work
- System status: First check the system status of the iCloud calendar. You can find this on the Apple status website. If the iCloud calendar is inactive, Apple will soon solve the problem on its own.
- Date and time: Check that the date and time are set correctly on your iOS devices and on all other connected devices. You can find instructions for the iPhone here.
- Internet connection: If there is no stable connection to the Internet, the synchronization fails. Check by opening any website such as CHIP.de whether there is a stable connection. Otherwise, switch to the mobile data network.
- Visibility: Open the calendar app and tap the "Calendar" button below. Activate all calendars to be displayed here.
- Restart: If the previous steps have not led to success, switch your iOS device completely off and on again. Errors in the buffer are deleted.
iCloud: Calendar is no longer synced
- Open the "Settings" app and select the "iCloud" category. Uncheck the "Calendar" option and wait a moment. If you then activate the option again, the calendar will be re-synchronized.
- If that doesn't help either, select the "Mail, Contacts, Calendar" category in the "Settings" app. Scroll down to the "Calendar" area and tap on the "Sync" item. Select the "All events" option here. If the option is already activated, select another option.
