Set up iCloud mail on Android - how it works
ICloud Mail users are not bound to Apple's products. You can also set up the email service on your Android device and check your emails on your smartphone. We'll show you how to set up your device.
Set up iCloud mail in the standard mail app
Unfortunately, Android cannot configure the iCloud addresses automatically. Here you have to enter the necessary connection data yourself:
- Open the email app and go to Settings. Click on the "+" in the top menu bar.
- Enter your iCloud email address and password.
- Tap "Manual setup" and then "IMAP account".
IMAP account: You need this data for iCloud mail
Now you need the data for the incoming server. Simply fill in the fields as follows:
- IMAP server: "imap.mail.me.com"
- Security type: "SSL"
- Port: "993"
Tap on "Next" and enter the following values for the outgoing server:
- SMTP server: "smtp.mail.me.com"
- Security type: "SSL"
- Port: "587"
- Finally, check the box "Require login" and tap "Next".
Configure iCloud Mail in other email apps
Of course, you can also check your iCloud mail in other apps. This is usually done exactly the same way - however, the input fields can be named differently. You also need the above data here.
In this practical tip, we will explain how you can also access your Apple mail under Windows.
