Share iCloud storage: How to share your storage space
If you have an Apple ID, you have 5 GB of free storage space in the iCloud as standard.
- You can share both the free and the booked storage space with up to five other people.
- You need at least iOS 11 on mobile devices, and Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra must be installed on Mac.
- On iOS devices, navigate under "Settings -> Your name" to "Set up family sharing" and then select "iCloud storage".
- Follow the on-screen instructions and then assign your family members the desired storage space.
- Finally, the respective family member is informed of the invitation.
- On your Mac, you can access the necessary settings via "System Settings" and here via "iCloud".
- Here you will also find the option of "family sharing".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set it up.
- Then select the "iCloud Storage" in the "My Apps and Services" tab.
- If you click on "Start sharing", the desired family members will be added.
