IE: Delete saved passwords
Deleting saved passwords is a necessary security measure, especially on public computers. We'll show you how it works with IE in just a few steps.
IE: How to delete saved passwords
- Open the settings in Internet Explorer. You can do this via the "wheel" or directly in the menu.
- Under "Security", select "Clear browsing history". The saved passwords are also hidden here.
- In the new window, you can select stored data for deletion: browser and download history, cookies and also passwords. If you tick the box "Passwords" (see picture) and click "Delete", all passwords saved in IE will be deleted.
The instructions are based on Internet Explorer 9. The procedure may differ slightly in other versions. Here we show you how to delete passwords saved in Google Chrome.
