Your iCloud session has expired - you can do that
If the error "Your iCloud session has expired" appears on iTunes, you have to enter your password every time. In this practical tip, we reveal how you can skip this annoying step and remain permanently logged in.
iTunes: iCloud session has expired - so fix the problem
Normally, your iCloud session in iTunes should only expire after a long period of inactivity. This is how Apple ensures that only you can access your account. However, if the error message appears after each start, you have to fix the problem manually:
- Open iTunes and click on "Logout" under "Store". Then exit the program completely.
- Open the "Library" folder on your computer. In MacOS, press the [Alt] key in the Finder under "Go" and then select "Library". Windows users navigate to the path "C: \ Windows \ System32 \ config \ systemprofile \ AppData \ Roaming \ Apple Computer \".
- Open the "Preferences" folder and delete the "com.apple.iTunes.plist" file.
- Finally, start iTunes and log in again with your account data.
- Note: This article is based on iTunes 12.3. It can be assumed that Apple will fix the bug in later versions of iTunes itself. Therefore, you should update iTunes regularly.
