Change country in the Play Store - is that possible?
To access all apps, you sometimes have to change countries in the Play Store. This is possible, but only if you have root access on your Android smartphone. Here's how it works.
Change the country in the Google Play Store
To change the country on the Play Store:
- You absolutely need root access on your Android smartphone. If you don't have this, you have to root your cell phone. How this works depends on your smartphone model. You can find instructions on how to root here.
- Download and install the Market Unlocker.
- With a little luck, the Play Store is now unlocked. If the one-click unlock doesn't work, follow the next steps.
- Activate airplane mode and select "Auto Unlock" in the Market Unlocker.
- Delete all data from the Play Store. To do this, go to Settings, select "Apps", "All" and search for the Play Store. Then delete all data and the cache.
- Restart your cell phone. The market should now be unlocked.
