iMac: Delete user - how it works

If you no longer need a specific user on your iMac, you can delete it at any time. We show you step by step how to do this.
Delete users on the iMac
- Open the Apple menu in the top left and select "System Preferences".
- In the category "Users & Groups" click on the lock symbol at the bottom left.
- Now enter the name of an administrator and the associated password.
- Select the desired user and click on the minus button below or on "Remove".
- Now decide whether you want to delete the user completely, keep the data, or archive the data for later recovery.
- Then confirm the process with the "Delete user" button.
