iMac: White screen only - what to do?
- Try starting iMac in recovery mode. Press [command] + [R]. In the "Disk Utility" select "System Disk" and then "Check Volume". Activate the "Show details" checkbox and wait for the check to be completed.
- Alternatively, you can try to start the iMac in safe mode. Press and hold the [Shift] key while starting and wait for the iMac to start.
- There may also be a problem with your user account. Therefore, start the iMac in single user mode. When starting, press the key combination [command] + [S] and wait for the text to be completed.
- Then enter the command "/ sbin / fsck -fy" and confirm with [Enter]. Then wait for the process to finish. If an error message occurs, enter the command again.
