Thanks to the iMac's Bluetooth keyboard, you no longer have a tangle of cables. If the keyboard does not connect, there can be various causes. In this practical tip we will tell you what you can do about it.
iMac: Keyboard doesn't connect - what to do?
- First, make sure you've turned on Bluetooth on your iMac. You can recognize this by the Bluetooth symbol at the bottom right.
- Also make sure you have turned on the keyboard correctly. To do this, flip the switch on the back of the keyboard or press the on / off switch on the keyboard.
- The keyboard must be charged for the keyboard to work. You can try installing new batteries or charging the keyboard with the charging cable and then try again.
- You can also connect the charging cable to your iMac to establish the connection. The Bluetooth connection then takes place automatically.
- If you have problems, it can often help if you switch Bluetooth on your iMac off and then on again. Many connection problems can be solved in this way.
- Unless you were able to fix the error with these tips, the keyboard is probably defective and you should replace it.
