Since iOS 10, numerous new functions have been added to iMessage, but their effects do not always work as they should. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
iMessage effects do not work: do not reduce movements
In order for the effects to be displayed correctly in iMessage, all the functions involved must work without restrictions. However, many users deactivate an important function to save battery power.
- First, open the "Settings" app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
- Select the "Accessibility" item in the "General" category.
- Under "Reduce movement" you will now find the option of the same name.
- If the option is activated, switch it off again.
iMessage: Effects still don't work
If the effects in iMessage are still causing problems, there may be a much simpler problem. Registering again with iMessage can quickly remedy the situation.
- Open the "Settings" app again and switch to the "Messages" category.
- Under "Send & Receive", tap on your Apple ID at the top.
- Select the "Logout" option and repeat the process on all other Apple devices that you use with this Apple ID.
- You can then log in again at the same point using the "Use Apple ID for iMessage" option.
