- Start iMovie on your Mac and select the video you want.
- In the middle of the screen you will find several buttons. Click on the microphone icon to open the recording menu.
Customize audio recordings
A countdown shows you when the audio recording starts. You also specify subtleties such as the reduction of background noise in the options.
- Click on a clip to start recording. As soon as the countdown has counted down, recording begins.
- You set the input volume in the recording menu. You can also reduce the interference with a slider.
- With a check mark next to "Play project sound while recording" you can set the playback of the clip sound next to your own audio recording.
