iMovie: Add picture-in-picture effect
In iMovie, you can easily add a picture-in-picture effect. You can find the exact instructions in this practical tip.
Add "picture-in-picture" effect in iMovie - in 5 steps
Before you can get started, you need to start iMovie and import at least two videos.
- Click on "File" and then on "New Movie ...". Now select a topic in the new window and give the project a name.
- The top half now shows you all the imported videos. Double-click one and add it to your project in the lower half using drag-and-drop.
- Now select a second video and add it to your project as described in step 2. The second video must be placed parallel to the first video.
- Then call the "Picture-in-Picture" option in the drop-down box above the current preview (see picture).
- In the preview, you can now move the picture-in-picture window as required, as well as enlarge and reduce it.
