iMovie: rotate clips - how it works
In iMovie you can easily rotate clips, for example if you have filmed in portrait format. We show you how to do this.
Rotate clips in iMovie
- Open the video file in iMovie and then add the clip to the timeline of your project.
- Move the mouse over the lower left corner of the clip. A blue button with a gear appears here.
- Click this button and choose "Crop & Rotate"
- A few buttons now appear in your preview window on the right side of iMovie. Here you will find two arrows to rotate the clip in both directions.
- Then confirm the rotation by clicking on "Done". The buttons then disappear.
You can find more practical tips on iMovie here. There we show, for example, how to burn your film onto a DVD.
