- Open your movie project in iMovie if you haven't already.
- Click Deploy in the upper part of the program and select File.
- Choose a high-resolution video size and give the project a title. You can then choose the storage location.
- After you click Save, it takes several minutes for the process to complete.
Burn iMovie file to DVD
Apple has not offered a burning program for several years. You must therefore switch to alternatives:
- Download the Burn program for free from the CHIP download portal.
- Start the software with a double click on the icon.
- If you only want to save the video file as a "file" on the DVD, select the "Data" tab. However, if you want to play the DVD on your DVD player or similar devices, select the "Video" tab.
- Then add the previously created video file by clicking on the "+".
- If you are asked whether you want to convert the file, click "Yes". This can also take a few minutes.
- With a click on the cog you can make further settings before burning.
- Then click on "Burn" and wait for the burning process.
