InDesign: Activate and deactivate hyphenation - how it works
To get a uniform typeface, you can either enable or disable hyphenation. You only have to do a few steps. You can turn the hyphenation on or off for the entire text, or you can set this individually for some text passages. And this is how it works:
- Select the "Font" category in the top bar.
- Click on the "Paragraph" item. A new window will open.
- Then select the text for which hyphenation is to be activated or deactivated.
- Remove or put a checkmark next to hyphenation in the paragraph window. This is the last setting item in this window.
- The hyphenation for the selected text has now been activated or deactivated.
