Fake mail on behalf of ING-DiBa: fraud with a new tan process
- A deceptively genuine spam mail is currently circulating, which focuses on ING-DiBa's customers. Unfortunately, the fraudsters have put a lot of effort into it, so that many users have already fallen into the trap.
- The email informs the customer that a switch to the PhotoTan process is necessary. For security reasons, a photo of the current iTan list had to be uploaded beforehand.
ING-DiBa Fake: What happens to my data?
- If the users follow the call of the mail, they will be forwarded to a website. Unfortunately, the ING-DiBa website sees this as deceptively real. Only a critical look at the URL will quickly reveal the camouflage.
- If the data from the EC card, credit card and the complete TAN list were sent, the fraudsters have almost unlimited access to the account. Orders and transfers are no problem for fraudsters.
Falling for fraud - what to do?
- If you become the victim of such a trick, you have to act quickly. You can reach the blocked emergency call around the clock every day.
- There you can have your EC and credit card blocked for almost every bank. You should then contact your bank again to receive new access data.
