Make ginger oil yourself - you need that
Ginger oil is often used as a massage oil or as a bath additive. For example, if you rub your scalp daily with it, it should also help against hair loss.
- To produce 250ml of ginger oil, you need this amount of a carrier oil. A good olive oil is just as suitable as a jojoba oil.
- You also need 100g fresh ginger.
- You need a grater and a saucepan.
- The brew is strained over a close-meshed sieve.
- Finally, you need a dark glass bottle to keep the ginger oil.
How to make ginger oil yourself
As already mentioned in the first section, ginger oil is mostly not used for internal use, but rather serves for external treatment.
- First, peel the ginger and grate it in the pot.
- Add the oil and mix the two ingredients thoroughly.
- Now the mixture has to simmer at low temperature for about two hours. Alternatively, put the pot in the oven at 60 degrees for two hours.
- Then fill the finished ginger oil over the sieve into the clean, dark glass bottle and close it well. You can no longer use the strained ginger.
- The ginger oil must now ripen in the bottle for two weeks before the application makes sense. If you keep it cool, it will keep for about half a year.
- Note: Ginger oil can cause skin irritation in some people due to the active ingredient gingerol it contains. So first test the oil on a small area of skin to see if you can tolerate it.
