If you no longer want your Instagram photos to be shared on Facebook, you can deactivate the option. We'll show you how it works on your smartphone and computer.
iOS, Android: Disable sharing of Instagram photos on Facebook
- Open the Instagram app on your iOS or Android device and go to your profile at the bottom right.
- Now tap the gear icon (iOS) or the three dots arranged one below the other (Android) in the top right corner.
- Go to "Share Settings" under "Settings" and select "Facebook" above.
- Then you automatically switch to the Facebook app.
- Tap the two people icon in the lower left corner and select the "Only me" option.
- Then confirm with "OK" and "No".

- If you open this page from Facebook, you will be taken directly to the app settings.
- Look for "Instagram" in the list of apps and click "Edit".
- Under the category "Visibility of the app" you can also select the option "Only me".
- If you then click on "Close" in the top right corner, your settings will be applied.
