Up until now there has always been an end boss for anonymous Insta detectives: Up to now, the story function could not be viewed without the knowledge of the author.

• An extension for the popular Google Chrome browser now allows hobby stalkers to view stories unrecognized in anonymous mode.
• However, the plug-in is currently only available for the desktop version.
• The extension can be found under the name "Chrome IG Story" in the Chrome Web Store. When you are logged in with an Instagram account, a small eye icon appears in the story bar after installation.
• If you click on this, your name will no longer appear in a list - not even as an "anonymous user".
• The only question is how long Instagram will leave this loophole open. Therefore, hurry up, because the function should be blocked soon.
