Intel chipset driver cannot be installed - what to do?
- Before you download the chipset driver, make sure you download the appropriate driver for your system.
- To ensure that the installation works without any problems, there should be enough free space on your hard disk.
- In many cases it is sufficient to start the installation as admin. To do this, right-click on the installation file and select "Run as administrator".
- If the installation still does not work, you can create a new administrator and then try again.
- Or you try to install the chipset driver via CMD. Search for "cmd" in Windows search and right click on it. Click "Run as administrator".
- You should now move the downloaded installation file to "C: \". Enter the command "cd \ .." to get to the main directory of your PC.
- Then type the name of the installation file in the command line, followed by "-overall" and confirm with [Enter].
- The installation of the CPU driver will now start and may take a while. Wait for the process to complete.
