Create interactive PDF - for free with freeware
An interactive PDF can be easily created with freeware. Here we tell you how to do this.
Create free interactive PDF with Scribus
A PDF document does not necessarily have to consist of just text. You can also insert videos, audio files or animations. The freeware Scribus does this:
- Therefore, first download and install the free Scribus tool on your PC.
- After the successful installation you can start right away. After starting, select "Single Page".
- Then click "Show Grid" under "View" to activate the grid for editing. Then you can insert a new text field with [T].
- To edit this, click on "Window"> "Properties" above. You can make different settings here.
- Fill the field with text and then right-click on the field. Select "PDF Options"> "Properties" in the context menu. Here you can adjust the properties of the respective field.
- Images can be easily inserted using "Insert"> "Graphics". You can also insert additional media files via this menu.
This practical tip is based on Scribus 1.4.5 under Windows 7. In the next practical tip we will tell you how you can extract text from a copy-protected PDF.
